The disclosure

Filament Select is not currently applying an Amazon Associates tracking tag. Amazon links are ordinary retailer links until an application is approved and a tag is configured.

Links to other retailers may also be affiliate links, run through networks such as ShareASale, Impact or Awin. If you buy something through one of them, Filament Select may receive a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same either way.

Why this does not bend the results

Every match on this site is ranked by CIEDE2000 perceptual colour difference and nothing else. There is no commercial weighting anywhere in the ranking code. A filament with no affiliate link at all will outrank one that has a link whenever it is the closer colour — and that happens constantly, because most of the catalog has no programme behind it.

That is not a promise you have to take on faith. The matching method is documented in full, and the ΔE figure that produced each result is shown next to it. If a match looks wrong, the number it was ranked on is right there to check.

This matters more than the commission does. A colour-matching site that quietly favours whoever pays it is worth nothing, because the only thing it sells is a trustworthy answer.

What we do not do

• We do not accept payment for a higher position in results.
• We do not hide filaments that have no affiliate programme.
• We do not receive your order details, payment information or identity.
• We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own.

Colour accuracy is a separate promise

Independent of any commercial arrangement: the colour values on this site are approximations, and each one says where it came from — measured from a physical printed sample, published by the manufacturer, sampled from a product photo, or estimated. Real filament shifts with pigment batch, layer height and finish. Order a sample before committing a large print.
