What this site is

Filament Select is a free colour-matching tool for 3D printing filament. It is informational. It does not sell filament, hold stock, process payments or fulfil orders — every purchase happens on a retailer’s own site, under their terms.

Accuracy, and its limits

Colour values here are approximations. Each carries a provenance label — measured, manufacturer-published, sampled from a product image, or estimated — and a large part of the catalog is still in the weaker categories. That is stated on the pages themselves rather than hidden.

Even a measured value describes one sample. Printed colour varies with pigment batch, layer height, infill showing through thin walls, lighting, and finish — a silk filament reads several units lighter under direct light than its flat value suggests. A close match here is a strong shortlist, not a guarantee. Order a sample before committing a large or expensive print.

Prices and availability shown are captured at a point in time and may be out of date. The retailer’s own page is always authoritative.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filament Select is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the information here — including wasted filament, failed prints, or a colour that did not match once printed.

Corrections

If a colour on this site is wrong, it probably is, and hearing about it is genuinely useful. Measured values taken from real prints are worth more than anything that can be scraped.

These terms may change; the date at the top reflects the last revision. Continued use after a change means acceptance of it.
