Carbon-fiber filled ASA. UV-stable and matte black, for outdoor parts that need the stiffness.

• Abrasive — Contains fibre, mineral or metal filler that wears brass nozzles quickly. A hardened or ruby nozzle lasts; a stock brass one may not survive a spool.
• Enclosure recommended — Shrinks enough while cooling that draughts cause warping and split layers. An enclosure, or simply a still room, makes the difference.
