PC-CF filament

Carbon-fiber filled polycarbonate. Stiff and heat-resistant, with the matte near-black surface every carbon grade shares.

• Abrasive — Contains fibre, mineral or metal filler that wears brass nozzles quickly. A hardened or ruby nozzle lasts; a stock brass one may not survive a spool.
• Enclosure recommended — Shrinks enough while cooling that draughts cause warping and split layers. An enclosure, or simply a still room, makes the difference.
• Keep dry — Absorbs moisture from the air, which prints as stringing, popping and weak layers. Filament that has sat out usually needs drying before use.
